Sonder: Prologue

This is a little side quest made by me personally as a skill challenge for me.

Sonder /ˈsɑndər/
the feeling of realizing that each stranger, each person you pass by, has a life as rich and complex as your own...

“Why care for others, if they happen to perish up until the end...”

“If we are capable of caring, we are also capable of not doing so at all...”

Apathy rules this god-abandoned Earth, as a quiet, but prominent psychological disorder, where internal morals and held-on beliefs are torn apart by the hands of their emotionally-shared prophecy. This realization, in turn, causes minds to corrupt and become arrogant, spiteful beings. But with darkness, comes the light.

Sonder takes place in a post-apocalyptic world plagued by hate and despair governing the masses with negative emotions to take control and spread wars, calamities, and prevent others from healing and growing all over the world. Catastrophes, betrayal, and death are commonplace in this barren world, despite all of this, you never gave up.

Empathy is scarce, leading to deceit and mistrust as selfishness takes its place, and you are the one who's prevail through it all. Despite when hope is lost, YOU lost hope on this broken world. 

This is where you come in, you were always seen as the quirky kid at places you never felt you belonged in, but you had something that always saw past that. Maybe that determination could help others realize it too.

Maybe this affinity of yours can bring light to those who have lost it.
